Christmas Concerts!!

   1. Handel's Messiah, @ 7 p.m. on Dec. 7th.  Volunteer chorus, small orchestra, and profesional soloists. BTW we are getting our BIG bass back!! We will be performing this year in the Performance Hall at the Central Christian High School, on the north side of Kidron at 3970 Kidron Road, Kidron, Ohio. Map is located here.

2. Minerva Community Choir,  Christmas Concert

Our first one is Dec. 11th @ Great Trail Home in Minerva @ 7:30 p.m.; then Dec. 12th @ Minerva Christian Fellowship @ 7:00 p.m.; Dec.14 @ 7 p.m. Messiah Fellowship in the  Holmes County area ; Dec. 17th @ 7:00 Hebron Fellowship, close to Alliance;  ending with a joint concert with Hartville Conservative on Dec. 21st. @ 7:00

*We are singing some traditional carols, one Romanian song, we have a treble (kids) choir that is doing some songs with us and by themselves. If you are looking for perfection, that definately isn't us. But if you like Christmas music, and enjoy hearing singers who love to sing, please come!

We are also doing a fundraiser for Silvia Tarniceriu who is going in on Wednesday (Dec. 3) for colon cancer surgery. She is an amazing woman, also author of the book "God Knows My Size".  She is a lady who will give to others to the point of sacrificing her own comforts. I got to know her  in Romania for a few years, she has an absolute heart of gold. This is her second bout with cancer. Please pray for her, the cancer is extremely painful.

Home at last

Wow, Kansas was great, Colorado was better, and Oasis topped them all. Thanks for all who made it a great tour.

I just got home, I went and heard the Lancaster Children's Choir tonight. They were so cute!! I was able to go to my aunt and uncle's place where two of the six year old girls were staying. They were great little singers.

I got inspired to post a link of my school kids doing a little singing. We flopped a few times but we had fun. Mind the fact that the year started with about four who had pitch issues and ended up with about 1 1/2 ;) They worked hard and made great improvement. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHJxJILU08o

not so blue monday

Well, this coming monday I won't be sick. (hopefully) Headed out for ireland/england for coupla weeks. We will be back on the 3rd of august and here's where we'll be singing. see some of ya'll then!
Aug. 3 Bank Mennonite Church @7:30 p.m. Harrisonburgh, Va
Aug. 4 Shippensburg Christian Felowship @ 6:30 p.m. Shippensburg, PA
Aug. 5 Weaverland Mennonite Church @2:30 p.m. Lancaster, PA

we are in the throws of a miller reunion. complete with a circus put on by the younguns, and a talent show by the older ones. last night we had authentic italian food by rachel johnson (her husband is italian) so it's the real stuff, then tonight dwight and david keim made pulled pork. It is an experience. they started last night by making the sauce, they lit the fire in the morning, had six "boston butts" (that is actually what they are called) simering slowly in on the grill, that pork had its temp taken more often than the president when he is in the hospital. I'm serious by tonight that stuff was absolutely perfect. topped with homemade sauce, mmmm, heavenly. im gonna go sleep it off
